Luke Becker-Lowe is a cinematographer based in Los Angeles and New York. His recent work includes the documentary Spear, Spatula, Submarine, which screened at the Cannes Film Festival American Pavilion, as well as branded content for Entrepreneur Magazine, Vanity Fair, and Sony. Working as a gaffer and lighting technician for a number of years, he was able to hone the lighting skills and perspective that he continues to employ in his work as a DP in the narrative, documentary, commercial, and music video world. Luke graduated from Emerson College with a BA in Film Production in 2018. In his senior year, he co- directed and shot Dormancy, a 1932 period film about the Eugenics movement in his native Vermont. The short film won the Emerson College Evvy award for best picture and for best cinematography. It went on to screen at festivals around the country. Luke is particularly excited to work on stories that involve history, social justice, and food!
